The Middle College Program

The Middle College Program provides eligible students with the opportunity to earn a high school diploma while taking college-level classes on the campus. Students explore individual career paths and earn both high school and college credits while potentially earning an associate degree, certificate, or other transferable college credits.

As a participant, you have the chance to earn your high school diploma through a new academic pathway in a contemporary, modern college setting. Madison Area Technical College (Madison College) has designed Academies exclusively for the Middle College program—so the classes are relevant to your interests and career goals. Plus, with small college-style classes, teachers/mentors are ready to answer your questions and help you.

The program also includes an internship component to help you build and apply work skills and experience. Program participants that succesfully complete the program may transition into the workforce development system to engage in additional Career Pathway training initiatives, employment, post secondary education, military, or registered apprenticeship opportunities.
