WorkSmart and the South Central Wisconsin Job Center System offer employers comprehensive services--ranging from recruiting to worker retention to layoff aversion and assistance--to help employers build and maintain a quality workforce. 

 

 

Build Partnerships

 

We are collaborating with leading regional stakeholders--companies, educators, and workforce development leaders--to build and pursue a strategic vision for workforce development in our region.  

 

Central to this work are “Industry-Specific Partnerships” that bring companies together by sector. Regional leaders in advanced manufacturing, agriculture, biotechnology, business services, energy/utilities, and health care are collaborating to implement strategies to:

 

Identify and overcome shared problems such as skill shortages and worker retention

Help public sector educators design and deliver needed skills training

Combine resources to purchase training

Share industry knowledge and best practices
